Need a good opinion!!!?

ok so my ex and i broke up a little more then 2 months ago and because of her lost feelings for me and her getting some for some other guy. we tried being friends but it wasnt working for me so i told her i cant talk to her or see her or anything for awhile. 2 weeks later she sent me a message on facebook saying she was sorry for overreacting about me not wanting to be friends. like 4-5 days later she ims me again for saying sorry about something else. a couple days ago she imed me again because she found out i got a new car. why does she keep contacting me when i told her i needed space. idk whats going on between her and the other guy. i just dont get why she wont stop coming in contact with me. she saw my mom at her work buying stuff and my mom had her back to my ex and my ex asked three times how i was doing but my mom acted like she didnt hear until the third time. why would she ask that when she didnt have to and i just talked to her a couple days ago. i just dont get why she keeps coming in contact with me when i told her i wanted space
