Is vacuum flask safe to use for drinking water?

I read in one site that if the no. written in triangle at the bottom of the bottle if it is equal to 5 or more then 5 then it is safe to use..But for so many days I am having problem in my throat,I am thinking is my problem because of my water bottle.Can anyone tell me what should I go for..? Is vacuum flask safe to use for drinking water. ?
